How dee “Dew” ASU? Boy (or girl) have I got something to tell you. Wouldn’t you know it, while the public mind has been giving so much focus and attention to politics, democratic vs. republican debates, and who’s policy is better than who’s, there has been an even bigger question up for debate in the world…it’s simply, “Which Dew do we Dew?”

Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “this is supposed to be an ASU themed site. we’re in Tempe Arizona for crying out loud. There’s not a mountain to be seen, unless you consider  the one bump in the valley, A-Mountain, an actual “mountain.” And furthermore, there’s not enough moisture in this state to even think about catching the smell of morning dew on the grass…bermuda grass I might add. What’s Mountain Dew got to do with me and you?” That’s what you were thinking right? Well it’s ok. It’s what I was thinking as well. I mean I wrote it, it’s apparent I had to think it first. To tell you the truth I decided to write about this because of the current position our state, Arizona, has taken on the decision of which flavor of Mountain Dew to choose as the next big thing.

The race is currently between “Voltage” and “Supernova” with “Revolution” taking the backseat in a distant third place. Arizona voters have offered a split decision between the two competitors. Supernova and Voltage both possess 44% of the popular vote. Now you see why this is important right? The name of our blog is ASUnited. How can we become a united group if we can’t even agree on something as simple as a Mountain Dew flavor? Let’s just all admit that Supernova is the best and get on with it. I mean, even “Sparky” knows Supernova takes the cake on this one by a long shot. If Sparky thinks Supernova is the best than you have to know there’s something there.

Well I know this is a big deal for a lot of us out there so in honor of the “Dewmocracy” and Mountain Dew itself for just being awesome, I’ve decided to list a few quotes that some famous people have already dedicated to Mountain Dew and it’s striving for excellence in the pop (soda) world.

So there you have it folks. It’s all the rage. In a couple of months there will be thousands of ASU students walking around campus drinking Mountain Dew. Which flavor will they be clasping in there hand? Only we can decide. If you’re torn, go with your gut and follow Sparky’s example. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a name like “Supernova.” You can cast your vote at dewmocracy.com and let your voice ring loud and clear.
