Your Sun Devil Football team welcomed over 500 youth to Sun Devil Stadium on Saturday, March 31st for the inaugural Sun Devil Youth Experience Football Clinic. Members of the Sun Devil Football team and coaching staff worked with youngsters ages 8-13 (not enrolled in 9th grade or above) on position drills across Frank Kush field. It was an opportunity for the participants to work with the Sun Devil football program in an up-close-and-personal environment. The youth clinic immediately followed a nearly two-hour scrimmage put on by the Sun Devil football team in front of a solid crowd of several thousand spectators on Saturday morning.

Head Coach Todd Graham and Sun Devil Football return to practice this week. All practices are open to the public, but in case you are not able to attend, we are offering a webcast following each practice. Links to the webcasts for each day are provided below. The 15-practice spring session concludes on April 21st with the Spring Game. The Spring Game will be held in Sun Devil Stadium beginning at 1 PM and is FREE to the public.

Sun Devil Baseball returns to Packard Stadium for a three-game series with Oregon State Thursday-Saturday. Game one on Thursday, which is being broadcast on a tape delay by Fox Sports Arizona, is set for a 6:30 p.m. start. The Cory Hahn Fund 50/50 raffle, with ASU’s portion of the raffle going to Cory’s fund, will continue on Friday’s game, slated for a 6:30 p.m. start. First pitch for Saturday’s contest will be at 12:30 p.m. All three games will be on KDUS The Fan Am 1060 with Tim Healey and Seth Dhaenens on the call, while Friday and Saturday’s games will also be streamed live on FoxSportsArizona.com.

The series closer was cancelled Sunday as Sun Devil Softball rounded out a rainy weekend against 17th-ranked Oregon. The Sun Devils split the series, 1-1, after playing a doubleheader on Saturday. Sun Devil Softball hosts the UCLA Bruins in a three-game series that starts on Thursday. Games will be played Thursday (7 p.m.), Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (12 p.m.). Thursday and Saturday’s games will be broadcasted on Fox Sports Arizona, check your local listings for the channel.

Sun Devil Men’s Golf is set to host the 40th annual ASU Thunderbird Invitational at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course (par-71, 7,026 yards) Friday, April 6th through Saturday April 7th.  The 17 participating schools will play 36 holes Friday and a final round on Sunday. The Sun Devils have won seven of the past 13 Thunderbird Invitational Tournaments and have won the tournament 14 of the past 23 years.

The fourth-ranked Sun Devil Women’s Golf team finished in second place at the 2012 PING/ASU Invitational at the ASU Karsten Golf Course  on Sunday. The Sun Devils shot a three-round total of 17-over 869 (280-298-291) for the tournament. Next week the Sun Devils travel to Pullman, Wash. to compete in the first-ever Pac-12 Women’s Golf Championship, April 27th-29th, hosted by Washington State.

Sun Devil Track and Field heptathlete Keia Pinnick was just 70 points behind 2011 NCAA heptathlon champion Ryann Krais of Kansas State and her score places her third all-time on Sun Devil Track and Field’s heptathlon list at the Jim Click Combined Events in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday. Pinnick posted a career-best score of 5,622 to finish fifth overall in the competition and second among collegiate athletes. The Sun Devils return to action at home this weekend as the team hosts the 33rd Annual Sun Angel Classic at Sun Angel Stadium with collegiate events taking place Friday, April 6th and all day on Saturday, April 7th.

Congratulations to the fourth-ranked Sun Devil Water Polo team who matched the school record for single-season victories as the squad dropped #10 San Jose State, 10-8, on Sunday! The Sun Devils have a week off before hosting a doubleheader at home on Saturday, April 14th  as they welcome Hawai’i and Cal Baptist to the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center to wrap up the 2012 regular season.
