Cutting Down the Lumberjacks
At first glance it looked like Sun Devil soccer scored the first touchdown of the year. Kevin Boyd’s squad shut out NAU 7-0 to open the season. Sierra Cook and freshman Alexandra Doller scored two goals each. The team hosts South Carolina this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
Bump, Set, Spike It
Volleyball opens their 2011 season with the annual Sheridan Classic. Admission to the two-day tournament is free. The Sun Devils host Denver on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena to kick off the tournament.

Back in Black
On Friday, September 9th, the Sun Devil Football team takes on Big 12 foe Missouri. The game is set to kickoff at 7:30 PM on ESPN. The Sun Devil Football team will take the field in their new black uniforms. The Sun Devils reincorporated black into the uniform color scheme in conjunction with Nike in a nod to the ASU football teams of the past, which wore black helmets.
